St. Joseph Parish had their Christmas Party last January 01, 2010 midnight together with the parish's new year countdown. Their party was the fruit of their caroling at the poblacion barangays here in Donsol.

Little Marians Christmas Party

The Handmaids of Mary and of the Eucharist group or popularly known as little marians also had their midnight christmas party at the Parish office lobby. They were assisted by Sis. Erie Lorilla and Sis Nancy Abitria of the commission on worship.

Baby Jesus visited and blessed every family in some of the barangays of our parish

For the first time, Baby Jesus went around the poblacion and some chosen barangays last December 25-27, 2009. This activity was spearheaded by our altar servers who selflessly celebrated their own Christmas by bringing Christ at every home. The parish is happy to hear a lot positive responses from the parishioners for an another new experience here in our parish. This activity brought hope and blessing to every family as they welcome Jesus in their own home.

It was also a physically exhausting but very spiritually fulfilling experience of sacrifice for our altar servers as they braved the heat of the sun with their altar server's robe for three consecutive days. They were so happy and ever grateful because from this activity they were able to raise an amount of twenty three thousand forty pesos (PhP. 23,040.00). With this amount, they will share half of it for the repair of our parish rectory (kumbento) and the other half will be used for their on going formation.

The parish would like to thank all those who welcome altar servers, and the hermana of different barangays who assisted them on this activity.

our parish's simple but meaningful Christmas celebration

December 24, 2009 at exactly 10 pm, parishioners flocked our Church to celebrate Christmas together with a very solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by our own Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jojo Revidad. Like the very first Christmas, our parish had a silent but holy night celebration with not much of fanfares, not much of gimmicks but simply celebrating Christmas as it was in the beginning.

The Belen was given life by Kevin Rae Anonuevo (altar server) as Joseph, Jolina Pandaan (Youth Leccom) as Mary and some members of the Handmaids of Mary and the Eucharists (little marians) as the angels who unveiled the belen upon the singing of Gloria.

we realize that the real meaning of Christmas is the gift of person -- Jesus Christ Himself who, becuase of love, was sent by the Father to the world.

make straight His paths.
Every valley shall be filled
and every mountain and hill shall be made low.
The winding roads shall be made straight,
and the rough ways made smooth,
and all flesh shall see the salvation of God."
